Transparent fee information for psychology services
Psychology with Colette Harrison is committed to providing clear and transparent information regarding fees, rebates, and payment options.
All fees are reviewed periodically and are in line with recommended professional standards.
APPOINTMENT Fees
Standard Psychology Session (50 minutes)
Fee: $220 per appointment. Longer sessions by request will be charged at a pro-rata rate.
Fees apply to both Telehealth and face-to-face appointments.
Payment is required on the day of the appointment unless otherwise arranged.
PLEASE NOTE: It is required that 24 hours’ notice be given of late cancellation. A fee will be charged for late cancellations or non-attendance. Monday appointments must be cancelled on Friday beforehand to avoid cancellation fees
Medicare Rebates
Clients who have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from their General Practitioner may be eligible for a Medicare rebate, subject to Medicare criteria and annual limits.
Rebates are set by Medicare and may change
A referral is required for rebates but not for attendance
Please note that eligibility for rebates is determined by Medicare, not the practice.
PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE
Psychological services may be subsidised by your private health insurance fund. Please get in touch with your insurer to determine what may be covered, as each policy may vary.
You do not need a referral from a medical practitioner to claim a private health rebate. However, as a general rule, a mental health care plan (MHCP) often pays more than a private health. Please check your coverage before attending your appointment.
NDIS Participants
Colette works with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants with psychosocial disability.
NDIS fees are charged in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide and relevant service agreements.
Participants are encouraged to confirm funding arrangements prior to their appointment.
Private Fees (No Rebates)
Clients may choose to attend sessions privately without claiming Medicare rebates.
Private sessions do not require a referral.
Private fees apply in the same way to Telehealth and face-to-face appointments.
Payment Methods
Payment can be made via:
Payment on the day of the appointment will be required
Receipts are provided for all sessions.
Cancellation Policy
To support fair access to appointments, the following cancellation policy applies:
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur the full session fee
Non-attendance without notice will be charged the full fee
Medicare rebates do not apply to cancellation fees.
Important Notes
Psychology services are not crisis services
Fees are payable regardless of outcome or number of sessions attended
Medicare rebates are subject to annual limits and eligibility criteria
